The harbor walk along the Historic Seaport at Key West Bight, stretching from Greene Street to Grinnell Street, is to be festively dressed for the holiday season. Celebrate with Key West Bight holiday events, shop at unique island shops and galleries, and relax at waterfront restaurants and watering holes. Guided Walk at the National Key Deer Refuge - Long Beach Trail
Join a guided refuge trail walk for birders and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Meet at the National Key Deer Refuge Visitor's Center, located in the Winn Dixie shopping plaza. Participants caravan to the scheduled trail site - Long Beach Trail - maps provided. Prompt departure at 8:05 a.m. for morning bird activity, so arrive early to get your bird-friendly, shade grown coffee or other beverages at nearby shops. Each walk will end by 11 a.m., or whenever bird activity drops off. Hat, sunscreen, bug spray, comfortable walking shoes, water, binoculars or spotting scope, field guides, and appropriate dress for the weather are suggested.

Islamorada Fishing Club Junior Derby
All species count for points in this competition for young anglers, with the most points awarded for bonefish and permit. Among many prizes, grand champion anglers are to be named in three age divisions — super small fry (up to age 6), small fry (ages 7-10) and junior (ages 11-16). Separate grand champions are to be named in guided and unguided divisions within each age group. Entrants are allowed to fish from a boat or from land, so kids can fish from any of the Keys’ popular fishing bridges or shorelines. Entry fee $50.
